I’m excited to share that I will be offering a couple of weaving workshops here in Squamish this fall.

Come on out for a cozy evening of weaving!

This is the perfect class for the beginner weaver.

This class includes a 10" x 15" wooden loom, a heddle bar, comb, wooden shuttles, plastic needle, all yarn for the project, plus a wooden dowel.

The event will take place at the Little Bookshop on 2nd Avenue in Downtown Squamish.

Above is an image of the weaving we will be creating (colours can be switched out; there will be lots to choose from). The completed piece measures appx. 7" x 14".

This will be a ~2hr class with a maximum of 6 people. Beverages and snacks will be provided.

Here are the details:

  • What: 2hr in-person class including a loom to keep and materials for the class

  • When: Tuesday, Oct 25, 6:30-8:30pm OR Tuesday, Nov. 22, 6:30-8:30pm

  • Where: Little Bookshop, 38041 2nd Avenue, Squamish, BC

  • Who: All ages welcome. I would recommend having a parent available to help any children 12 or under.

**Refunds will only be offered if cancellation made at least 48hrs in advance.

What you will learn in this class:

  • Weaving techniques: warping, twining, tabby weave, bubbling, how to create a twill pattern, rya fringe, tucking in ends.
